The answer, in a good year, is barely 20%. Many people are surprised by that figure--even shocked, as most people assume the majority of hospital funding comes from the provincial government. Unfortunately, hospitals today are increasingly left to their own devices and only those that effectively plan for their future needs will be able to provide the level of care and services that you and I expect. That's why the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation is so important.
Year after year, since 1996, the cost to replace outdated equipment has been met solely by the Foundation's fundraising efforts and Endowment Fund.
