Nearly fifty Dr. Stephen Society members were present on June 28th for the Sixth Annual Collingwood G&M Hospital (CGMH) Health Luncheon. 200 people in total crowded the Collingwood Legion banquet hall for this annual celebration of health and wellness achievements. Dr. Danielle Martin of the Toronto Women’s College Hospital and author of the book “Better Now” was the special guest and key note speaker. The audience was very engaged as Dr. Martin shared her “6 Big Ideas to Improve Healthcare for all Canadians”.

CGMH’s Chief of Staff, Dr. Michael Lisi, and Interim CEO, Norah Holder, shared some wonderful stories and photos with their 2016/2017 Year In Review. Jarvis Strong, Personal Giving Manager of CGMH Foundation gave a special thanks to all of the Dr. Stephen Society members who have shared legacy gift intentions in support of CGMH. The event concluded with outgoing CEO Guy Chartrand sharing some heart-warming words in his final farewell. Guy will now be moving on to his new challenge as the President & CEO of Bruyère Continuing Care in Ottawa, where his family resides. He will be missed.
