Norah Holder, Hospital CEO

Norah Holder was appointed by the Board of Trustees to the position of President and CEO in July 2017. She is a senior executive with more than 30 years of healthcare experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Nursing.

Prior to becoming CEO, she was the Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nurse Executive at CGMH, a position she held since 2009.

In this role, Norah managed a portfolio which has included the entire nursing team – Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Obstetrics, Medical and Surgical inpatients, Ambulatory Care, Dialysis, Endoscopy, Nursing Education, Cardio Respiratory, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Medical Device Reprocessing Department, Pharmacy, Lab, Dietary and Community Mental Health.

She began her nursing career at the Hospital for Sick Children, working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Operating Rooms, progressed through senior administrative positions at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and has also taught in the Nursing program at Georgian College.

In her leisure time, Norah enjoys gardening and the many recreational activities available in the Georgian Triangle area.
