The Goal

As Young Professionals living in Southern Georgian Bay with active lifestyles, young families and aging relatives, chances are most of us will need the Hospital’s services at some point. This is why the CGMHF Young Professionals Committee is hosting an annual event to engage and inspire others to support our community hospital. It’s the money raised through donations from the community that pays for virtually all equipment and technology used to diagnose and treat the thousands of patients that rely on CGMH every year.

Slopes for Hope aims to raise $30,000 to go towards the MRI Scanner. MRI service will help CGMH to advance safety, quality of care, and efficiency while improving access to care closer to home. This will be a tremendous benefit to inpatients and ED patients as well as those with significant cancer, stroke, orthopaedic, and emergency medical conditions. A significant portion of the hospital’s outpatients will experience far shorter wait times and will effectively end the requirement to travel for essential imaging care.
