Georgian Bay Club Foundation Supports CGMHF

October 1st, 2020

Collingwood, ON – Recently, members of the Georgian Bay Club Foundation (GBCF) stopped by to present a cheque for $85,000 to the Collingwood G&M Foundation (CGMHF).

The GBCF is operated by Georgian Bay Club members who are committed to giving back to our community.  Typically, this donation is a result of proceeds from the annual GBCF Golf Tournament which was cancelled this year due to the pandemic crisis. However, members still rallied together to ensure that funds were raised to support the Collingwood Hospital.

In addition to supporting CGMHF, the annual tournament also makes contributions to several other deserving local charities.

“The GBC Foundation mandate is to help raise the standard of health and well-being in our area.  Moving forward with this donation in the middle of this pandemic is a true testament to that commitment,” says Jory Pritchard-Kerr, CGMHF President & CEO. “These funds will be used to purchase additional hip & knee replacement instruments and a large battery drill used in orthopedic surgeries.  These are additional instruments and equipment that will help CGMH meet the growing demand for orthopaedics in South Georgian Bay.  They are used daily in both trauma and joint replacement surgeries.  We are extremely grateful to the GBCF for their continued, very generous support.”
