
Michael Lacroix
Hospital CEO
Michael joined the Senior Leadership Team at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in 2011. In April 2022, he was appointed to Interim President and CEO by the hospital's Board of Directors, from Vice President of Corporate Services, Chief Financial Officer, following the retirement of Norah Holder.
In his role as Vice President of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer, Michael plays a key role in the stewardship of the hospital's financial resources and information technology strategy. Michael has overall responsibilities for the hospital's corporate and clinical service portfolios, which includes finance, health information technology, plant operations, maintenance, procurement, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy.
Michael has held progressive hospital leadership roles over the past 17 years, and is experienced in leading initiatives designed to improve financial performance and patient experiences.
Michael is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Master of Health Science degree from the University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Brock University. Michael is LEAN Green Belt certified and also holds a Certified Health Executive designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
With nearly 20 years of progressive leadership experience, Michael is a high-performing hospital leader with an unwavering focus on the patient experience and the health and wellness of the CGMH team. Michael balances strategic decision-making with financial discipline, and is deeply committed to developing and strengthening partnerships and collaboration at the local, regional, and provincial levels.
