Jack Marley

Past Chair

Soon after moving to Collingwood in 2009, it was immediately apparent to Jack that Collingwood is a very giving and volunteer-involved community.

Jack was first introduced to the Probus Club of Collingwood, and this seemed to lead to other things. Jack helped organize, fundraise, and build the Collingwood Labyrinth and is currently a member of the Collingwood Trails and Active Transportation Advisory Committee. Jack received the Order of Collingwood in 2016.

Jack first became involved with the Hospital Foundation in 2012 by helping with the communications plan for the $10 million New Age of Care campaign. Jack continues as Chair of the Communications Task Force at the Foundation as well as a Foundation Director. Jack was on the Facilities Committee at the Hospital and was Vice-Chair of the Communities Engagement Committee.

Jack’s goal and vision for his term as Foundation Board Chair, was to see the Province approve the Stage 1 Plan for a new Hospital on the preferred site.

Jack’s business career was in wholesale distribution as well as advertising, sales and marketing.

Jack enjoys the active lifestyle in Collingwood with hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, tennis and cycling as a ride leader with the Collingwood Cycling Club. Jack and his wife Sue have three grown children and eight grandkids.
