2nd Annual BackSpin Barn Dance Raises Over $12,500 for Tomorrow’s Hospital

Collingwood, ON – July 10, 2025 – On Saturday July 5th, over 200 enthusiastic supporters gathered at a beautifully restored barn in Clearview township, for the 2nd Annual “Barn Party” fundraiser in support of Tomorrow’s Hospital – the state-of-the-art hospital that South Georgian Bay needs and deserves.

The sold-out event was arranged by local band BackSpin, featuring John Bolger, Geoff Davies, Adam Delean, Derek Moilliet, Paul O’Shea, and guest blues harp player Ted Pollock. Graciously hosted in Christiane and Adam Delean’s barn, guests enjoyed a great night of live music and delicious food in a breathtaking rural setting.

BackSpin kept the dance floor buzzing with their energetic mix of rock, folk rock and R&B, while Black Box Catering served gourmet tacos and other culinary treats.

The evening included a tribute to Jory Pritchard-Kerr, President and CEO of the CGMH Foundation, who was honoured on her retirement after 37 years of dedicated service. In her remarks, Jory spoke about Foundation’s $100+ million campaign to build the new hospital on Poplar Sideroad and the importance of community-driven events in supporting the Foundations historic $100+ million campaign to build the new hospital on Poplar Sideroad.

“Having over 200 community members gathered together in this beautiful setting,” said Pritchard-Kerr “shows the commitment of our community to come together and make Tomorrow’s Hospital a reality.”

Tomorrow’s Hospital will be 4x the size of our current hospital, will expand healthcare services for our fast-growing community, improve patient care and privacy, attract top healthcare professionals, and build on our strengths in education and training.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of BackSpin, the Delean’s and everyone that attended, this year’s Barn Party raised over $12,500, more than double the amount raised at last year’s event, a powerful testament to the community’s commitment to building a healthier future.

The CGMH Foundation and BackSpin extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the evening such a resounding success.

TOMORROW IS BUILT TODAY.
