CGMH Foundation Reaches Historic $90 Million Milestone for Tomorrow’s Hospital

The Collingwood General & Marine Hospital (CGMH) Foundation is proud to announce a major milestone in the journey toward Tomorrow’s Hospital: $90 million has now been raised toward the CGMH Foundation’s $150 million campaign goal.

The achievement reflects the incredible generosity of donors, families, businesses, physicians, staff, volunteers, and community partners who share a commitment to strengthening healthcare across South Georgian Bay.

“This milestone demonstrates the belief our community has in the future of healthcare,” said Sandra Taylor, President & CEO of the CGMH Foundation. “We are so grateful to everyone who has been inspired to contribute thus far. Together, we are helping build a hospital that will meet the needs of our growing community.”

As one of Ontario’s fastest-growing regions, South Georgian Bay’s population is expected to continue to increase. Tomorrow’s Hospital is being designed to meet that growth with modern technology, and enhanced patient care services.

The new hospital will feature:

  • 100% private inpatient rooms
  • Expanded Emergency Department
  • New Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
  • Enhance Diagnostic and Surgical Services
  • Interprofessional Education & Innovation Centre
  • Expanded Specialty Clinics

The $150 million campaign is the largest fundraising effort in the region’s history and will support the equipment, technology, and specialized spaces needed to bring Tomorrow’s Hospital to life.

“While we celebrate this significant achievement, there is still important work ahead,” said Sandra. “Every gift moves us closer to a hospital that will provide outstanding care for our children, grandchildren, neighbours, and visitors for decades to come.”
