CGMH Foundation Launches Tree of Life Campaign to Build Tomorrow’s Hospital

November 10, 2025, Collingwood, ON: The Collingwood G&M Hospital (CGMH) Foundation has launched this year’s Tree of Life campaign in support of Tomorrow’s Hospital, a new facility that will expand healthcare services, elevate patient care, and meet the needs of South Georgian Bay’s fast-growing population. 

In a generous show of community support, Mike Jackson GM, will match every donation made during the campaign, dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000. That means every gift will have double the impact. 

“As Chief of Family Medicine and Lead Hospitalist at CGMH, I’ve had the privilege of caring for this community for many years,” said Dr. Alex Fraser. “I am constantly inspired by the people who call South Georgian Bay home. Our team delivers extraordinary care every day, driven by compassion, purpose, and a deep commitment to our patients. But we can’t treat tomorrow’s patients in yesterday’s hospital.” 

The Ontario Ministry of Health announced almost a year ago that South Georgian Bay would receive a new hospital. Since then, the vision for Tomorrow’s Hospital is taking shape, with features including 100% private inpatient rooms, a larger emergency department equipped for our growing population, world-class operating rooms, all designed to meet the evolving needs of our region. 

Sandra Taylor, President & CEO of the CGMH Foundation, emphasized the importance of community support: “The Tree of Life campaign is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together. With the support of our community, we are turning Tomorrow’s Hospital vision into reality.” 

Donations will help expand surgical, diagnostic, and ambulatory care programs, strengthening regional and local partnerships to best serve our patients right here in South Georgian Bay, bringing care close to home.
