Fashionable Fundraising: AGNORA Raises Over $35k at Annual Pre-Loved Fashion for Good

AGNORA held their annual Pre-Loved Fashion Sale for Good on Saturday, April 20th and raised $35,484 for the CGMH Foundation.

The annual Pre-Loved shopping event at AGNORA saw its highest attendance yet, with people lined up around the building well in advance of 9am. The sale featured clothing from a variety of different brands such as Zara, Tory Burch, Aritzia, Kate Spade, Lululemon, and more.  Exceeding expectations and well surpassing their goal, the event raised $20,484. AGNORA generously matched to $15,000, bringing the grand total to $35,484 raised for the Foundation. This was AGNORA’s fourth year running the clothing sale, bringing in a cumulative total of $60,623 for the CGMH Foundation.

“Thank you to the staff and volunteers from AGNORA who put on this fantastic event,” said Jory Pritchard-Kerr, Foundation President & CEO, “It is an extraordinary amount of work. Both their efforts and achievements highlight AGNORA’s commitment to supporting healthcare and critical equipment for CGMH.”

Funds raised from this event will go towards a new mammography unit for breast care screenings and diagnosis, all in the name of better patient outcomes for women in South Georgian Bay. Beyond the charitable aspect, the event plays a positive role in sustainability efforts by recycling clothing offering them a second life. After the clothing sale, unsold items were allocated to other great causes such as Ontario Works, My Friend’s House, Barbara Weider House, the local food bank, or kept for next year’s sale.
