A special message from the CGMH Foundation Board Chair:
To our community of support,
It is with a mix of heartfelt gratitude and bittersweet sentiment that we announce, effective June 30th, 2025, the retirement of our President and CEO, Jory Pritchard-Kerr, who has dedicated over 37 incredible years to building the Hospital Foundation. Jory was the Foundation’s first employee and has been a pillar of strength, leading our team to phenomenal success with remarkable ingenuity. Often accomplishing the impossible, Jory has always ensured that capital funds were available, outfitting the hospital with critical equipment needs and furthering the vision of outstanding care-for life for the communities of South Georgian Bay.
We have all witnessed Jory’s unwavering commitment to excellence, her ability to turn challenges into opportunities, and her inspiring leadership. Jory’s legacy is one of determination, strategic vision, and an unwavering belief in the Foundation’s mission. Throughout Jory’s tenure, she has exemplified dedication, resilience, and innovation. From spearheading numerous groundbreaking projects to mentoring countless team members, Jory has left an indelible mark on our Hospital and the Foundation’s history and culture.
Jory was also very active in the Philanthropic Associations in Canada and the United States. As a lecturer, committee member and leader within these associations, she has earned the highest level of recognition from her peers. Jory was the 2022 recipient of the Si Seymour Award for distinguished leadership in association affairs and the healthcare philanthropy community.
“Jory’s impact on healthcare and the profession of healthcare philanthropy are immeasurable. As Chair of the Board of AHP, and in all her innumerable volunteer leadership roles for the Association, Jory envisioned the modern organization that we have become and worked tirelessly to ensure we realized those dreams. AHP and all our members will forever be grateful.”
– Alice Ayres, President & CEO, Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP)
Jory has spent the past decade working tirelessly alongside key stakeholders including Michael Lacroix, President and CEO of CGMH, to secure the government’s approval for a new hospital which was announced last month. Jory was the key driver in securing the land gift that our new hospital will stand on for decades to come.
“After an incredible 37 years of dedicated leadership, Jory is retiring, leaving behind a legacy that words can hardly capture. Her impact has touched countless lives and spanned generations. Through her vision and unwavering commitment, she has inspired extraordinary generosity within our community, equipping us with the tools and technology needed to deliver outstanding care to our patients. Jory has worked tirelessly to build a strong foundation for our future hospital and to advance healthcare in South Georgian Bay. On behalf of the hospital and the entire community, we extend our deepest gratitude for her remarkable contributions and wish her every happiness in this well-deserved next chapter.”
– Michael Lacroix, President & CEO, CGMH
As we celebrate Jory’s remarkable career and contributions, we also look forward to continuing the journey she has set us on. Though we will miss Jory’s daily presence and leadership, her influence and the values she has instilled in us will endure. The Board of the Foundation has begun the search process to find a new President and CEO and we expect to have a replacement identified by Jory’s retirement date of June 30, 2025.
Let us express our deepest gratitude and best wishes for the exciting new chapter that awaits Jory after she leaves the Foundation.
With warm regards,
Brad Miller
