NOVEMBER 13 – COLLINGWOOD, ON – The Collingwood General & Marine Hospital (CGMH) Foundation is once again calling on local organizations to bring forward their most creative and impactful ideas through the Wellness Innovation Fund, an annual initiative that supports projects focused on improving health and wellness across South Georgian Bay.
The Wellness Innovation Fund provides seed funding each year to initiate or enhance programs that make a measurable difference in the well-being of CGMH patients and the broader community. By investing in local innovation, the Foundation aims to strengthen preventive care, improve access to wellness resources, and reduce pressure on the hospital system.
“The Wellness Innovation Fund gives us the opportunity to support fresh thinking in healthcare,” says Sandra Taylor, Foundation President & CEO. “It’s a chance to champion local solutions that make South Georgian Bay healthier, stronger, and better prepared for tomorrow.”
Thanks to the continued generosity of Wellness Innovation Lead Donors, Barb and Larry Hall, the Fund brings together healthcare providers, community organizations, and wellness advocates to explore new approaches to care and prevention.
Previous recipients of the Wellness Innovation Fund have included programs such as the Be Well Community Collective, Living Wish Foundation, SGB Parkinson Disease Awareness Program, Green Prescription Program, Young Adult Research and Development Project, Mental Health Program for At-Risk and Homeless Youth, and the Pelvic Health Program. Each project reflects the creativity, collaboration, and innovation that define South Georgian Bay’s commitment to community wellness.
Application Deadline is December 31st, 2025
