Fundraising is in Fashion as Agnora raises over $7k for the Foundation

July 4th, COLLINGWOOD ON: AGNORA hosted a pre-loved fashion sale in June that brought in over $7,400 with 100% of the proceeds in support of the Collingwood G&M Hospital Foundation

“The Collingwood G&M Hospital provides services that affect our entire community. Hosting this yearly event is a way for Agnora to support an important and impactful cause in our local area.” says Sherri Remnant, Agnora event organizer, “This event also allows women in our community to enjoy a retail fashion shopping experience that is both affordable and sustainable. Our clothing sale relies on the generous members of our community who gladly donate their clothing and accessories, knowing that their items will be given a second home and raising money for an important cause.”

Featuring name brand clothing, shoes and accessories such as COACH, Zara, GAP, J Crew, Lululemon, Nine West, Aritzia, KateSpade and many more, shoppers were able to take advantage of great prices, quality clothing, and all for a fantastic cause. The doors opened at 9am and there was a steady stream of shoppers all morning. If you missed the event this year, do not be dismayed. Agnora is hoping to host it again next year and will be looking for clothing donations in early Spring of 2023.

“We are so grateful to the team at Agnora for all of the hard work and effort that went into organizing this event,” says Jory Pritchard-Kerr, Foundation President & CEO “Thank you so much to everyone at Agnora for ALWAYS supporting the Hospital with such passion and generosity.”

The funds raised from this event will go towards the Hospital Foundation’s campaign for a new CT Scanner. Helping diagnose over 16,000 patients annually, the current CT scanner has reached the end of its useful lifespan. The Collingwood G&M Hospital currently relies heavily on the CT scanner as the best available diagnostic option for things like cancer, heart disease, internal bleeding, bone, and joint problems, and so much more. To bring the best possible CT technology to South Georgian Bay, the Foundation is looking to raise $2.25 million to purchase a new CT scanner.
