Moving Still: A night of art, entertainment, and philanthropy.
May 16th, COLLINGWOOD ON: On April 27th, Side Launch Brewery was transformed into an art exhibition, showcasing local talented photography and their work on Georgian Bay, resulting in $18,000 in funding for the CGMH Foundation.
“We were proud to host an event to raise such necessary funds for the local hospital,” says Randy Gillies, Partner, Equals Brewing Company, “and to also shine a light on some exceptionally talented photographers in our area.”
An elegant evening of art, food, and entertainment, Moving Still, featured the works of local photographers Jessica Crandlemire, Erin J Coholan, Corynn Fowler, and Colin Field, all of whom draw inspiration from its beauty. Guests had the opportunity to bid on the displayed art, and every single piece received a bid.
Guests were welcomed by Collingwood Circus Club acrobats who hung from aerial silks and poured welcome drinks, Low Down signature Georgian Bay-themed cocktails, Live entertainment from Heather Hill and Chris Reain, and a collection of curated silent auction items. Not only did Side Launch host the event, but they also donated a portion of proceeds from their drink sales.
“This event celebrated what we all love most about our community and we are grateful to Side Launch for all the effort they put into this event.” says Alison Smith, Director of Communications, “Our hope is to support our healthcare teams with the best in equipment and technology, so they can provide the care needed to get patients back out in the community and enjoying this beautiful area we are fortunate enough to call home.”
Funds raised from this event will impact Internal Medicine, breast care screenings and diagnosis, advanced resuscitations, and better, faster results from our laboratory; all in the name of better patient outcomes for South Georgian Bay.
