Ski Movie Night returns for the 10th annual fundraiser in support of the Collingwood G&M Hospital Foundation with the goal of raising $15k, which would bring the accumulated funds raised to $100k.
Held at the Historic Gayety Theatre, Ski Movie Night is bringing the Warren Miller film “Daymaker” to downtown Collingwood. The 8pm gala showing is sold out, limited tickets are still available for the 1pm matinee.
To date, Ski Movie Night has brought in over $90k for the Collingwood Hospital Foundation. Event organizers Kevin Nash and Andrea Baker-Nash are edging closer and closer to their overall goal of raising $100k.
“When we started Ski Movie Night over 10 years ago, we had two goals; to celebrate one of the best sports in the world and to raise some much-needed funds for our local hospital,” says Kevin, “we are proud to host Warren Miller’s Annual Ski Movie.”
“Daymaker” is the 73rd annual Warren Miller film. It will take you on a journey to peaks that replace the mountains in your mind with ones that free your mind. A killer storm cycle in the Monashees. Adaptive backcountry riding like you’ve never seen before. The ultimate grass skiing run. See all of this and more during these exclusive showings.
Attendees of the 8pm gala showing can also enjoy cocktails, an auction, and a 50/50 draw. All funds raised from the auction and 50/50 draw will directly support the Collingwood G&M Hospital.
“We feel extremely grateful to have people like Kevin and Andrea in our community” says Jory Pritchard-Kerr, Foundation President and CEO, “community fundraisers like Ski Movie Night allow us to fund the tools and equipment needed to provide the quality of care our community deserves”.
Thanks to Ski Movie Night’s sponsor, Blue Mountain Resort, 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the hospital. With Blue Mountain Resort’s continued support, Ski Movie Night is sure to surpass their $100k fundraising goal with yet another sold-out event.
