COLLINGWOOD, ON – 16 February, 2026 — The communities of South Georgian Bay have once again shown their generosity and commitment to local healthcare, raising over $1.7 million through the CGMH Foundation’s Tree of Life Campaign in support of Tomorrow’s Hospital.
Tomorrow’s Hospital is a major step forward in the future of healthcare for South Georgian Bay. The new, larger hospital will expand healthcare services for the region’s fast-growing community, improve patient care and privacy, attract top healthcare professionals, and build on CGMH’s strengths in education and training.
“The success of this year’s Tree of Life Campaign is a powerful reflection of our community’s belief in the future of healthcare close to home,” says Sandra Taylor, President & CEO of the CGMH Foundation. “Every gift brings us one step closer to Tomorrow’s Hospital and ensures our growing community will have access to the care it needs, now and for generations to come.”
This year’s campaign was strengthened by generous matching gifts, including Mike Jackson GM, who matched donations up to $25,000, and another generous local family who matched gifts up to $50,000, helping to maximize the impact of community support.
The campaign was also inspired by donors of all ages, including eight‑year‑old Matéo, who donated his birthday money to help build Tomorrow’s Hospital. Young donors like Matéo remind us that this project truly belongs to every generation and reflects the heart of South Georgian Bay.
The CGMH Foundation extends its sincere thanks to all donors, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to this year’s Tree of Life Campaign. Their support is helping to build a stronger healthcare future for South Georgian Bay. Donors are recognized through the Tree of Life Donor Wall, now available on the CGMH Foundation website.
